Claim your listing
If you run a listing on this site, you can claim its page and add the things the register's record does not carry — a description, your own contact details, your website and the services you offer.
What a claim does not do. The register's own facts come from the authority that publishes this register. They are shown as the authority publishes them, and nothing an owner submits can change them — not on your own listing, and not on anyone else's. If a register fact is wrong, it has to be corrected with the authority; we will pick the correction up at the next refresh.
1. Find your listing in the register
Every listing on this site comes from the register this directory publishes. Search for yours by name — the area is optional, and only needed to tell similarly named listings apart.
Not sure which listing is yours? Use your Google profile
The register often holds a slightly different name to the one on your sign — a provider prefix, or the street address. If your search finds nothing, copy the name from your Google Business Profile and try that.
- Open Google Maps and find your listing.
- Copy the link from your browser’s address bar.
- Paste it below — the name is read out of it here in your browser.
This runs entirely in your browser. The link is not sent to us, not stored, and not looked up anywhere. It is a way to find the right listing — it proves nothing about ownership and changes nothing about who may claim a listing.
Or browse the directory by area — every listing carries its own claim link.
2. Confirm you control the listing's email address
Open your listing and choose Claim this listing. You give a work email address, and we send a single-use link to it. Nothing is claimed by filling in the form: the claim is created only when you open that link, which is how you prove the address is yours. The link expires, and it can only be used once.
Signing in later works the same way — there is no password to lose. See owner sign-in.
3. Add what only you know
Once the claim is verified you can add 5 kinds of detail: website, opening hours, services, description, contact preference. These are stored in a separate owner layer and are labelled on the public page as owner-supplied, so a reader can always tell what came from you and what came from the authority.
Can't find your listing?
Every listing here comes from the register, so if a registered entry is missing it is for one of four reasons — and none of them is fixed by adding a listing by hand. There is deliberately no “add your business” form on this site: a listing with no register record behind it would undermine the one thing this directory is for.
- It is registered under a different name. The register often holds a provider prefix or a different legal name rather than the name on your sign. Search for part of the name, or use the Google profile helper above.
- Its area has not been published here yet. Coverage is released area by area. An entry in an area we have not released has no page yet — it will appear when that area is published, with nothing for you to do.
- It was registered recently. This site is built from a dated snapshot of the register and refreshed periodically, so an entry registered since the last snapshot is not in it yet.
- Its record did not meet the evidence bar. Where the register data is incomplete or ambiguous — a duplicate address, a missing identifier — we hold the page back rather than publish something we cannot stand behind. It returns when the source data resolves.
If none of those fits, tell us which listing and where — use the directory to check the area first, since it is the fastest way to see whether we publish there at all.
Claiming is free and there is nothing to buy on this site. A claim does not change a listing's position anywhere: listings are ordered by the register's data and by area, never by whether an owner has claimed them, and there is no paid placement to buy. Owner-supplied details sit in a separate layer that can never overwrite a value from the register.
